Semi Truck Driver Facing Charges in Buckhead Fatal Accident
The truck was making an illegal u-turn on Lenox Road when a motorcyclist crashed into the it. The motorcyclist later died of his injuries.
The driver of a semi truck which was involved in a fatal accident on Lenox Road in Buckhead on Tuesday morning will face charges for his role in the incident, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Eugene Holmes was attempting to get his 2007 Great Dane semi truck turned around on Lenox Road at the intersection with Ferncliff Road at approximately 9 a.m. Tuesday when a 2013 Harley-Davidson crashed into the back of the semi truck’s cab. The motorcyclist was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Police said that the motorcycle left a 165-foot long skid mark on Lenox Road.

Holmes now faces charges of second degree vehicular homicide and making an illegal u-turn.
