Taverna Opening in Buckhead This October

ATLANTA, GA -- The Thirteen Pies space at The Shops Buckhead won't be vacant for long.

Taverna, a restaurant under Lombardi Family Concepts, is anticipating an October opening.

“We are thrilled to open Taverna at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta,” Lombardi Family Concepts’ founder Alberto Lombardi said. “Our first restaurant in Georgia will be a special place where customers feel at home.”

Lombardi Family Concepts is headquartered in Dallas, with additional restaurants in Las Vegas, Austin, Houston, Laguna Beach, and most recently, in Akumal, Mexico.

The restaurant will offer Northern Italian dishes ranging from oven-fired pizzas and salads to delicate pastas, main dishes, and risotto. The restaurant will serve lunch and dinner daily, and brunch on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Lombardi's operated in Underground Atlanta back in the mid 1990s. It closed in the early 2000s.

The space is being overhauled, and Lombardi plans to build a patio and other amenities.
