Teen Fatally Shot Near Public Safety Headquarters
Police believe the 18-year-old victim fled the scene of his shooting.
An Atlanta man was shot and fatally wounded during an altercation near the City of Atlanta Public Safety Headquarters in the heart of downtown.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, 18-year-old Montavious Washington was shot in the chest following an argument with an unknown gunman. Police believe that Washington fled the scene of the initial shooting.
The young man was found at approximately 11 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Trinity Avenue, two blocks from the city's public safety headquarters.
Washington was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died.
Police currently have no suspects or leads in the shooting.
