Three North Atlanta High Students Named Georgia Scholars

The trio are the only city of Atlanta school system students to make the list.

ATLANTA, GA -- Three North Atlanta High School seniors have been named 2016 Georgia Scholars.

Vajraang Kamat, Rachel Morales and Maleni Palacios-Delgado are the only city of Atlanta public school system students to make the list, which was released by the Georgia Department of Education last week.

Through the program, the department identifies and honors high school seniors who have achieved excellence in school and community life. The program is coordinated by the department’s excellence recognition office and through local coordinators in each public school system and in private schools throughout the state. Each Georgia Scholar receives a seal for his or her diploma.
