Top Atlanta Cop To Speak at Buckhead Business Association Lunch

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta Police Chief George Turner will be speaking to the Buckhead Business Association on Thursday, August 18, on the topic of public safety.

“This is a timely topic of discussion, particularly given recent events across the United States and the globe,” said David Coxon,2016 BBA president. “We live in uncertain times, and our public safety leaders are doing everything in their power to serve and protect the community. This forum will no doubt be informative and insightful and gives us an opportunity to hear directly from those charged with keeping the community safe.”

Atlanta Police Foundation President Dave Wilkinson and former Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Secret Service will lead the discussion along with George Turner, Police Chief of Atlanta and other public safety leaders on the issues facing the public, law enforcement and the community.

During the event, the BBA will also bestow its annual Public Safety Awards to members of the Atlanta Police Department (Zone 2), Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and Atlanta Fire Rescue Department.

The event will take place a 103 West from 11:30 am-1 pm.
