The second annual Chastain Park TriPATHlon will begin at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, May 6, at the park.
The PATH Foundation is the host of the triathlon, which includes a 400-yard swim in the Chastain Park pool and a 15-mile bike ride and concludes with a 5K run on the Chastain Park trail, according to an announcement. Along with PATH, the event will benefit the Conservancy and the Chastain Park Athletic Club.

This year, team entries will be accepted, according to the announcement. The race layout has been improved for spectators, the announcement said.
The triPATHlon is a fully sanctioned USAT sprint triathlon and one of a few in-town triathlon events in the country. Registration is limited to 550 participants. The entry fee is $75 for USAT members and $85 for non-members. Teams will have an entry fee of $125. To register for the event or for more information, visit www.triPATHlonatlanta.com.
Also new this year will be a kids'Β βSplash & Dash,β featuring a swimming and biking competition for kids ages 6 to 15, in age categories of 6-8, 9-11 and 12-15. Distances are age appropriate, with the swim in Chastain Park pool, and the run out and back on Chastain Park PATH. The entry fee is $25.
