The Upper Chattahoochee Chapter of Trout Unlimited recently held its first Fly Fishing Clinic for women and girls (16+). The one-half day clinic, held at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, introduced participants to the basics of fly fishing and stream conservation. The event was organized in conjunction with Alpharetta Outfitters.

Several learning stations were set up to educate the prospective fly fishers on river conservation and entomology, knot tying, fly tying, fly casting, and gear selection.

Since 1983, the Upper Chattahoochee Chapter of Trout Unlimited has worked to conserve, protect and restore Georgia's 5,400 miles of trout water and 142 miles of wild brook trout streams.
