Trump, GOP Candidates Heading to Buckhead

Controversial Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will appear with fellow conservative luminaries at a sold-out conference in Buckhead early next month.

The Donald is scheduled to appear at this year’s RedState Gathering, held at the Intercontinental Hotel from Aug. 6-9. Other attendees include presidential candidates Gov. Scott Walker, Sen. Ted Cruz, Gov. Bobby Jindal, Gov. Nikki Haley, former Atlanta Fire Rescue Chief Kelvin Cochran, ’Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough, and others.

WSB-TV reports that Trump will be in Texas on Thursday, speaking at the U.S.-Mexico border and meeting with Border Patrol union representatives and other members of law enforcement.

Highlights of the event include a debate watch party, speeches by candidates, a breakout session and a tailgate party at the College Football Hall of Fame. No mention of Trump has yet been made on the event’s official website.

Although tickets for the full gathering are sold out, those who wish to attend the debate watch party and the tailgate party may still purchase passes for $100.
