Two-Year-Old Dies on Atlanta-Bound Greyhound

Police are speaking to the child's mother to find out what happened to the toddler.

Atlanta police are talking to the mother of a two-year-old child who died while the two were riding on a Greyhound bus on Tuesday.

Witnesses told FOX 5 Atlanta that they heard 19-year-old Alexis Washington screaming hysterically after she got off the bus at around 3 a.m. near the Peters Street bridge. Police were summoned, and Washington told them her child was cold and not breathing. The pair were on their way to Atlanta from Greenville, SC, the station reports.

Paramedics rushed the child to Hugh Spalding Hopsital where he or she was pronounced dead, police told FOX 5.
