Unknown Shooter Using Pellet Guns on Cars in Buckhead
Several motorists traveling on West Paces Ferry Road have had their rear windows shot out by the shooter, police say.
Atlanta police are looking for the person responsible for damaging several cars in Buckhead with a pellet rifle, CBS Atlanta reports.
According to CBS, the shooter sets up in the woods along West Paces Ferry Road and takes pot shots at passing cars with his gun. Pellets may seem harmless enough, but they are capable of shattering automotive glass, which can lead to serious injuries.
One person CBS spoke to had her car damaged by pellets, but she didn’t realize she was being shot at until she discovered several other cars with the same broken glass; one of the other cars was carrying a family of eight, including four children, at the time it was struck.
