Here are the top stories in Buckhead today:
- Attorneys for Chaka Zulu, manager for the rapper Ludacris, criticized the Atlanta Police Department on Thursday for their investigation into the Buckhead shooting that resulted in his arrest. Zulu claims that he was attacked by a group of four men and therefore he was forced into self-defense. His attorney, Gabe Banks, asserted that Zulu would have been killed that night in June had he not defended himself with the lawfully licensed weapon that he was carrying at the time. (Free:CBS46)
- New surveillance video has been released in the Chaka Zulu June shooting that resulted in his arrest. Ahmed Obafemi, otherwise known as Chaka Zulu, the longtime manager for Ludacris, was party to a shooting that saw one person injured besides himself and one person deceased. Lawyers for Zulu were critical of the Atlanta Police Department for failing to bring charges against the men who attacked Zulu and knocked out his manager. (Free: FOX5 Atlanta)
- A penthouse in Buckhead was recently put up for sale and listed at $5.5 million. The penthouse includes a flight simulator and neighbors who play in the NBA. (Paywall: Atlanta Business Chronicle)
