W. Paces Ferry, Habersham closures set

The Department of Watershed Management has reported that sections of West Paces Ferry and Habersham roads will be closed next week because of sewer work. Here are the city announcements:

West Paces Ferry Road, Aug. 1-5, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. 

What: Road closure because of sewer work

Where: West Paces Ferry Road between Slaton and Andrews drives

When: Monday-Friday, Aug. 1-5, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Comments:  City contractors are repairing sewer lines, necessitating closure of all lanes. Motorists are urged to exercise caution when traveling through the work area and use alternate routes when possible.

Detours:        

• Traveling west: left on Slaton Drive, right on Andrews Drive, left on West Paces Ferry Road
• Traveling east: right on Andrews Drive, left on Slaton Drive, right on West Paces Ferry Road   

Habersham Road, Aug. 3-5, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

What: Road closure due to sewer work

Where: Habersham Road between West Andrews and Argonne drives

When: Wednesday-Friday, Aug. 3-5, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Comments: City contractors are repairing sewer lines on Habersham Road, resulting in the closure of all lanes. Motorists are urged to exercise caution when traveling through the work area and use alternate routes when possible.

Detours:

• Traveling north: Right on Habersham Way, left on Andrews Drive, left on Austell Way, continue on West Andrews Drive, right on Habersham Road
• Traveling south: Left on West Andrews Drive to Austell Way, right on Andrews Drive, right on Habersham Way, left on Habersham Road
