Watershed Management to Host Vendor "Lunch N' Learn" Seminar

The event will inform small business owners on the best ways to get loan approvals, learn about FICO scores impacts on lenders, and more.

The Department of Watershed Management’s Vendor Development Program will host on Friday, Aug. 21, a free Lunch N’ Learn Seminar 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Rosemarie Drake and Melanie Bryant from the Small Business Administration (SBA) will lead the discussion on “The 5 C’s of Credit.” They’ll share best practices for loan approvals for small businesses, FICO score impact on the lender’s analysis, and SBA lending programs including SBA Express, CAPLINES, Surety Bond overview, and LINC (Leveraging Information and Networks to Access Capital).

The Lunch N’ Learn series is another program that the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management Vendor Development Program offers to enhance the growth of small and disadvantaged business. “We are committed to providing entrepreneurs every opportunity to develop the necessary skills that are needed to obtain City contracts,” says, Commissioner JoAnn Macrina.

“This seminar will help small, minority, and female owned businesses optimize their efforts in obtaining loans that will assist them in growing their business and realizing their dreams” says Susan J. Ross, Manager, Watershed Vendor Development Program.

The event will be located at 2 City Plaza on 72 Marietta St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30303 on the second floor in the auditorium.

It is advised that attendees bring lunch. Boxed lunches will be provided for the first 50 registrants.
