Westminster Student Wins Silver Medal at U.S. Physics Olympiad
Josh Doman, a rising senior at The Westminster Schools, recently won a silver medal in the United States Physics Olympiad.

ATLANTA – Josh Doman, a rising senior at The Westminster Schools, recently won a silver medal in the United States Physics Olympiad, placing him within the top 100 candidates in the nation.
Additionally, as one of only four silver medalists in the South, Doman tied as the highest scoring student in the Southeast.
This accolade came after a rigorous exam process—which tests students’ problem-solving abilities—that began in January 2015. Approximately 4,390 physics students throughout the country took the preliminary exam.

The United States Physics Olympiad, part of the U.S. Physics Team Program, is a high school physics competition sponsored by the American Association of Physics Teachers and the American Institute of Physics with the goal of selecting a team to represent the United States at the International Physics Olympiad.
