When Will The Southern Gentleman Open For Lunch?

The Southern Gentleman is extending its welcome mat to lunch guests starting April 6. Lunch will be served daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of field green salads, Southern sandwiches and larger plates for leisurely lunches.

Since the opening in December, the team behind the popular eatery has had guests asking if they might open for lunch. Co-owner Chris Hadermann said “Given our focus on Southern hospitality, plus our prime Buckhead location for a business lunch or shopping interlude, how could we refuse?”

While farm-fresh produce and regionally sourced ingredients are the backbone of each dish, it’s the menu’s playful spirit that will inspire the lunch crowd to come back for more. Signature sandwich selections include a Hot Brown – duck confit, heirloom tomatoes, bacon, fried egg, debris gravy and fries; and a take on the po’ boy sandwich with crispy fried shrimp and oysters, homemade hot sauce, lettuce and tomato served on a crunchy baguette.

Those looking for lighter fare in the mid-day will enjoy a main dish such as Gulf red snapper with beets, rye berries and horseradish ravigote; a salad of baby greens with grilled peach, Southern blue cheese and crispy black-eyed peas, topped with a sorghum-mustard seed vinaigrette; or one with buttermilk-poached chicken breast over Tucker Farms Little Gems, shaved radish, bacon lardons and herbed buttermilk dressing.
