Woman Kicks Robber's Groin In Buckhead Attack
She was punched in the face five times during the attempted robbery outside of the Target on Peachtree Road.

ATLANTA, GA — It would take more than five punches to the face to stop Matraya Lewis.
WSB-TV reports that Lewis was leaving the Target on Peachtree Road in Buckhead at about 7 p.m. Monday when a man dressed all in black walked up and demanded her purse. When she hesitated, the man punched her in the face five times.
"It was like a soft, ‘Give me your bag.’ I’m, like, ‘No’ and then he just jumped me," Lewis told WSB.

She was knocked to the ground. And that's when Lewis, who has studied martial arts, responded. She said she reached out and kicked the man in the groin.
"He got off me and, as he was kind of running, he was holding himself and he just sprinted," Lewis said. Other shoppers noticed what was happening and the Atlanta Police Department was called, but the man escaped before officers arrived.

Lewis said she regrets being surprised by the man's attack and that she wishes she could have grappled him until police arrived. The robber is described as a black male in his late 20s, standing about 5'7" with a goatee. Police say they have video surveillance of him, but have not yet released it.
