Woman Struck by MARTA Bus

A woman has been hospitalized after Atlanta police say she was struck by a MARTA bus while crossing the street on Wednesday night.

According to WSB-TV, the incident occurred near the intersection of Lee Street and Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard. Police told the station that investigators have determined the woman was wearing headphones at the time she was hit.

A witness told WSB-TV that she saw the bus strike the victim in the head as she ran out into the street.

Police say the woman is in critical condition at a local hospital.
