Woman Suffers Medical Emergency, Falls on Tracks at Buckhead's Lenox MARTA Station

A 47-year-old woman suffered a medical emergency which caused her to fall onto the tracks at the Lenox MARTA station in Buckhead Monday morning, WSB-TV reports.

The woman fell at approximately 11:45 a.m., the station says. She fell into a crawlspace under the platform, which kept her out of the way of an incoming train. She was retrieved and transported to Piedmont Hospital.

MARTA reported on Twitter that Lenox station was open by 12:48 p.m., but was being single tracked. Delays were reported to be less than 15 minutes in duration.
