Woman Wounded in Atlanta Gas Station Shooting

An argument inside the gas station spilled out into the street when gunfire erupted on Monday morning.

A woman is at good condition at Grady Memorial Hospital after she was shot in the shoulder during a gun battle at an Atlanta gas station on Monday morning.

India Brown told police she was sitting in her car at the Chevron on Cleveland Avenue when shots rang out between two groups of people having an argument. WSB-TV reports that she ducked inside her car for cover but was soon struck by an errant bullet.

One of the people involved in the shootout told police that her cousin began arguing with two men inside the gas station. The argument spilled out into the street, where the two men opened fire on the woman and her cousin. She returned fire, WSB-TV says.
