Zombies Take Center Stage at Pace Academy

Middle School drama presents 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse Oct. 9 and 10.

Staff Report

Atlanta may already be home to the popular TV show The Walking Dead, but this month, Pace Academy Middle School drama students will do everything they can to prevent a world overrun by zombies.

To ensure that the community is ready for approaching hordes of the undead, the school will provide a (somewhat) comprehensive guide to preparing for a zombie invasion in its production of 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse.

The play by Don Zolidis is a humorous journey through outrageous zombie survival tactics. Under the direction of Middle School drama instructor Patrick Campbell, more than 30 cast and crew will present the play Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. in the Pace Academy Fine Arts Center.

“Our dedicated Middle School ensemble – and more than 10 Upper School students designing makeup and hair – have been working very hard since school started in August to make 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse a success,” Campbell says. “I know audiences will love the students’ performances. Their hard work makes the show as funny as it is.”
