Zone 2 Community Prosecutor Leaving
Hannah Chung to spend more time with children

Zone 2 community prosecutor Hannah Chung is leaving to devote more time to the raising of her small children, the Fulton County District Attorney's office confirmed Friday.
Chung has been a fixture at Buckhead NPU meetings and other community events, where she's known for detailed reports on her prosecutions of Buckhead criminals, from burglars to murderers.
Chung has a 2- and a 4- year-old and had to balance long hours as prosecutor with her dutiies as a mother. She joined the district attorney's office in 2006 and has been the community prosecutor since June 2010.

Fulton District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr. also saluted Chung.
Β "Hannah Chung has been a dedicated public servant to the citizens of Fulton County as a prosecutor for six years,"Β Howard said in a statement released Friday night by spokesperson Yvette Brown. "We are grateful for her service, particularly as the Zone 2 community prosecutor.
"She has left our office to devote more time to her precious children ages 2 and 4. We recognize this was a tough decision for her, but we fully support her role as a proud mother and hope that once her children have gotten a little older, Ms. Chung would return to the Fulton County District Attorneyβs Office. We would most certainly welcome her once more with open arms.β
Chung, who worked closely with APD Zone 2 Commander Robert Browning, also issued a statement through the District Attorney's office.
βLeaving the Fulton County District Attorneyβs office was indeed a tough decision but a choice I ultimately had to make for the benefit of my children," she said. "Serving as the Zone 2 community prosecutor has been one of the most rewarding assignments of my career. I am thankful for the communityβs supportΒ and proud to have been given the opportunity to serve.β
1. Under the citywide beat redesign, Zone 2, already the city's largest, took in Morningside and the Cheshire Bridge road area, which has brought an increase in crime calls and likely more of a workload for Chung.
