• Multi-agency arrest results in an officer involved shooting (monroelocal.org) — An out-of-state murder suspect was shot and arrested after firing at officers during a multi-agency operation Thursday on Binnies Way in Buford, and a woman at the home was charged with harboring a fugitive. Gwinnett County Police say there's no ongoing threat to the public, while the Georgia Bureau of Investigation reviews the officer-involved shooting and detectives seek additional tips.
   

• Troy homicide suspect arrested in Georgia (news10.com) — A homicide suspect from Troy, New York was arrested Thursday near Binnies Way and Braselton Highway in Buford after Gwinnett County deputies received local sightings. The 35-year-old man, wanted on a New York murder warrant, was taken into custody with help from Gwinnett police and now faces extradition, ending a months-long search that briefly centered on Buford neighborhoods.
