Investigators say the pair traveled overnight to Jacksonville and documented several policy violations, though they reported they could not prove any sexual activity occurred.

Jon Ossoff secures federal funding for Georgia rural hospitals (eciks.org) — Grady General Hospital in Cairo is among 18 rural Georgia hospitals set to receive roughly $187,500 in new federal support aimed at shoring up staffing and essential services. The funding, secured through Sen. Jon Ossoff's work on the Appropriations Committee, is intended to help rural facilities like Cairo's maintain emergency care, inpatient treatment, and telehealth amid financial pressures.
4. Softball RoundUp: All area teams lose Tuesday (albanyherald.com) — Cairo's softball team dominated Monroe 16-0 Tuesday, highlighted in a regional roundup of Southwest Georgia games. While most coverage focuses on Deerfield-Windsor, Terrell Academy, Lee County, and Houston County, Cairo's lopsided win stands out as a bright spot for local fans following area softball action this week.
