Seven New Business Licenses in Seven Days

Businesses in unincorporated Cherokee County applied for the licenses.

The highlight of Cherokee County's economic news in the past week has been the opening of the new outlet mall in Woodstock, but there have been other signs that the economy continues to rebound.

Although 470 Cherokee County workers were laid off in June, the total is much less than it was in May and lower than the number of layoffs in June, 2012.

Another positive sign is the number of business licenses applied for by new and old businesses in unincorporated parts of the county. In the last week, seven such applications have been filed with the county government.

Meet some of the newest members of the Cherokee business community. The business' name, type, and date of application will be separated by dashes:

  • Aaron's Window Cleaning-Home Occupation-July 18
  • Wheels Over Georgia-Home Occupation-July 22
