Crews with Bartow County Emergency Medical Services responded to the crash around 7:45 a.m. Feb. 15 on U.S. 41/S.R. 3 at Manning Mill Road in Adairsville, said EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the Altima entered the intersection and tried to make a left turn on S.R. 3 when it was hit on the driver’s side by the minivan.
After that impact, the minivan rotated and hit the front of a Bartow County school bus with its passenger side.
“Between impacts, the rear passenger in the minivan was ejected and became trapped between the school bus and minivan,” the agency said.
The driver of the Altima, Chelsey Chapman, 20, of Adairsville, died on the scene.
The three occupants in the minivan -- driver Fredrick Lamar Ash, 45, of Cartersville and passengers Trevin Anthony Moore, 22, and Linda Denise Lintez, 43, both of Cartersville -- were transported to Floyd Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver and attendant of the school bus, White residents Shelly Renee Sheriff, 31, and Jessica E. Rutledge, 21, were not injured and there were no children on board, GSP states.
The accident remains under investigation.
