Driver, 18, Killed In Bartow County Crash (UPDATED)
The 18-year-old woman from Rome died Tuesday in the crash on U.S. 411 near Hamilton Crossing Road.

BARTOW COUNTY, GA — An 18-year-old woman died Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash along Ga. 20/U.S. 411 in Bartow County,
Crews with Bartow County EMS and the Fire Department responded to the crash on the westbound side of the highway at Hamilton Crossing Road. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the vehicle was traveling westbound in the left lane when its driver lost control.
The car begin rotating clockwise, traveled off the northside of the highway, struck two trees and continued rotating clockwise until it came to a stop facing southbound.

First responders assessed the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene, said Bartow County EMS Director Brandon Duncan. The victim has been identified by Bartow County Coroner Joel Guyton as 18-year-old Emily Lauren Brown of Rome.
