Cop Finds 127 Prescription Pills During Traffic Stop

Adairsville police say the pills were found inside a glass container wedged between two seats.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA — A routine traffic stop led to Adairsville police recovering more than 100 prescription pills stashed away between two seats inside a vehicle Tuesday afternoon.

An officer on patrol observed a vehicle weaving over the road around 2 p.m. July 10 on Ga. 140, and conducted a traffic stop "to check on the driver," according to a press release from the Adairsville Police Department.

The driver, identified as Calhoun resident Stanley Lee Taylor, 34, appeared "very nervous" during the stop, the agency added. Taylor consented to a search of the vehicle, and the officer found about 127 alprazolam pills in a glass container tucked away between the seats.
