2 Women Charged With Murder In Cartersville (UPDATED)
A 74-year-old man was found dead on Aug. 27 inside his home, and it was determined he had been deceased for quite a while.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- Two women have been booked into the Bartow County Jail on murder and other felony charges in connection to an death reported on Aug. 27.
Bartow sheriff's deputies and investigators responded to a death investigation at a home on Country Lane. Upon arrival, police discovered the body of 74-year-old James Edward Stephens, who "had been deceased for some time," the agency said.
Working with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the sheriff's office and the Bartow County Coroner's Office determined Stephens suffered blunt force trauma that led to his death (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Investigators on Sept. 8 arrested Cartersville residents Rachel Savannah Ridley 19, and Keisa Rena Cone, 20 on Sept. 13. Both are charged with murder and armed robbery and remain held without bail. Sheriff's office spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said a third arrest is expected.
