3 Injured After Car Overturns In Cartersville
Bartow EMS said the car was traveling on Pine Grove Road when it left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned on to its top.
CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A driver and two passengers were transported to an area hospital following a single vehicle accident overnight in Bartow County. EMS crews responded to the crash around 3:50 a.m. Monday along Pine Grove Road near Chimney Lane in Cartersville.
EMS, along with Cartersville police and firefighters, arrived to find a vehicle resting on its top. A preliminary indication indicates the car left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned, said Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.
All three men inside the car were entrapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle. Cothran said two men were unconscious and unresponsive on the scene, and suffered head injuries, fractured femurs and possible internal abdominal bleeding. The third man was alert, but also suffered several fractures to his legs and arms.
