3 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Cartersville

One vehicle overturned as a result of the accident Monday afternoon on U.S. 41 at Gentilly Boulevard.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- Three motorists were transported to Cartersville Medical Center following a three-vehicle collision Monday afternoon in Bartow County.

Crews with Bartow County Emergency Medical Services, along with Cartersville police and fire units, all responded to the crash around 3:30 p.m. Feb. 27 on the southbound side of U.S. 41/Joe Frank Harris Parkway at Gentilly Boulevard.

First responders arrived to find three damaged vehicles, one of which overturned in the collision.

One patient, a woman occupying the overturned vehicle, had "numerous minor injuries," and was transported to the hospital for treatment, said Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.

A male juvenile and a female from another vehicle were complained of various injuries, and were also transported to the hospital for treatment, Cothran added.

The accident, which has since been cleared, remains under investigation, Cartersville police spokesperson Lt. Mike Bettikofer said.
