3 Adults, 1 Child Killed In Adairsville Crash (UPDATED)

All four victims died in a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon on Ga. 140 in Bartow County.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA — The Georgia State Patrol has identified the four people who died Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Bartow County.

According to the state agency, a beige 1996 Toyota Avalon failed to stop at a stop sign on Towe Chapel Road at Ga. 140 between Adairsville and Rydal. The Toyota entered the roadway and crossed into the path of a green 2004 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The truck, GSP said, crashed into the driver side of the Toyota Avalon.

Three occupants inside the truck were transported to Cartersville Medical Center where they were treated for minor injuries. Unfortunately, all four occupants of the Toyota died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The four victims have been identified as Cartersville resident Shannon Hartsfield, 41, the driver of the Toyota, and passengers Nancy Evans, 53, of Acworth, Richie Willis, 36, of Adairsville and a six year-old boy. That child's name has not been released at this time.
