CARTERSVILLE, GA -- Three people were transported to an area hospital following a house fire that started before daybreak Monday.

The Cartersville Fire Department and Bartow County Emergency Medical Services responded at 4:50 a.m. May 9 to a house fire on North Bartow Street.
Crews arrived and treated three patients who reported injuries such as a minor burn, sickness and smoke inhalation, said Bartow EMS spokesperson Brad Cothran.
