46 Retire From Bartow County School System

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Monday was an emotional day for the Bartow County School System, as 46 employees said goodbye to their co-workers during a retirement ceremony.

These employees have collectively amassed more than 1,200 years in public education to the Bartow County School System and other districts.

"We'll miss these retirees, but wish them the best as they delve into their next chapter," BCSS said on its Facebook page.

One of those notable retirees is School Superintendent Dr. John Harper, who is hanging up his hat after 49 years in public education, the system added. Dr. Phillip Page has been hired to succeed Harper, who will assist in the leadership transition.
