Adairsville, Euharlee Among Georgia's Safest Cities
Euharlee is making its first appearance on Safewise's list for 2017.
ADAIRSVILLE, GA -- The cities of Adairsville and Euharlee are getting high marks for the safe environment their citizens and stakeholders have come to enjoy and rely upon.
Safewise has named both municipalities to its list of the 50 Safest Cities in Georgia for 2017.
The list, which was unveiled Monday, Jan. 16, places Adairsville at 37. Euharlee's first appearance on the list has landed the city in the 28th slot.

Safewise notes Adairsville's ranking tumbled a bit from 22 in 2016. To come up with its list, Safewise used data from the 2015 FBI Crime Report, the most recent statistics available.
It also removed from consideration cities that have fewer than 4,000 residents or those that don’t submit crime data to the FBI.

From there, Safewise then narrows down the list by the number of reported violent crimes (aggravated assault, murder, rape and robbery) and property crimes (burglary, arson, larceny-theft, and motor vehicle theft) in those cities.
"To further level the playing field," Safewise also calculated the likelihood of these crimes occurring out of 1,000 people in each city, the company said.
