Advocates For Children Hopes To Raise $30,000 On #GivingTuesday

The Cartersville-based organization is hoping the community will rally behind its effort to prevent child abuse.

In less than two weeks, Cartersville-based Advocates for Children will participate in the global #GivingTuesday campaign for the second year in a row.

The agency is calling on residents, stakeholders and businesses to help the group reach its goal to collect over $30,000 during the campaign.

“Every child deserves a meal, a safe place to lay their head and the chance at a bright future,” Advocates for Children said. “Without your help, we could not continue to provide the services that are so vital to keeping kids safe and loved, happy and thriving.”

Designated for Dec. 1, #GivingTuesday is a worldwide campaign that encourages everyone to celebrate generosity and give back to organizations making a difference in their respective communities.

Your contribution on #GivingTuesday will help Advocates prevent and treat child abuse in all forms throughout Bartow County. You can donate to the group by clicking here.

You can also stop by the Flowering Branch Children’s Shelter and drop off any of the wish-list items listed here, or visit staff members from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 1. You can meet and greet the men and women behind the efforts to eradicate child abuse as they pass out hot chocolate and collect wish-list items from the programs and children they serve.
