Allatoona Lake Now Accepting Hunting Permits
Residents are required to have a permit in order to hunt within U.S. Army Corps of Engineers hunting areas.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has announced that Allatoona Lake Hunting Permits for the 2018-2019 hunting season are now being accepted. A $20 special activity permit fee will be assessed on all permits issued.
Allatoona Lake Project Hunting Permits include: permit number, name, pertinent state hunting license number, regulations, and a dashboard pass that must be displayed in vehicle while hunting. Permits have been available since May 1, and can be obtained by submitting a request by mail to include the hunter’s name, address, telephone number, pertinent state hunting license number, email address, self-addressed stamped envelope and check or money order.
All hunters are required to have a permit in order to hunt within USACE hunting areas. If multiple hunting permits are to be purchased by single request, all the above information will have to be provided for each hunter. All incomplete applications will be returned.

Each year 400 permits are issued to hunters who utilize the current 2,777 acres of public land available for this activity. Please note that these permits do not apply to the Allatoona Wildlife Management Area, which are operated by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
