Allatoona Lake Trails Closed Due To Hunting Activities
The Cooper's Furnace, Laurel Ridge and Cooper's Furnace-Pine Mountain Connector Trails will be closed through Monday, Dec 21.

Cartersville, GA -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District said its Allatoona Lake Project will close the Cooper’s Furnace, Laurel Ridge, and Cooper’s Furnace-Pine Mountain Connector Trails Dec. 18-21 to accommodate scheduled hunting activities in the area.

The trails are located off Highway 20 Spur in Cartersville. While the city of Cartersville Pine Mountain trail will remain open, the connector trail to Cooper’s Furnace will be closed.
Hikers should schedule their activities at Pine Mountain Trail or at other nearby locations such as the trails at Red Top Mountain State Park.
