Here are the top three stories in Cartersville today:
- A Cartersville man is facing multiple felony charges stemming from two separate incidents. The accused's public defender was successful in getting his bond reduced for the first charge, in which he was a passenger in a car where contraband was found, to $40,000. Davis is also facing aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon charges in connection with the second incident. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune)
- The community is invited to the Cartersville Public Library from 1 to 2 p.m. this coming Saturday, Sept. 17 to join in Booksby's 4th birthday celebration. Booksby serves as the mascot for the library system's Cartersville, Adairsville and Euharlee branches. (Subsciption: The Daily Tribune)
