• Open for Public Review & Comment Draft of FY 2027-2030 (daily-tribune.com) — Cartersville-area residents are being asked to weigh in on a new four-year transportation plan that will shape federally funded road and transit projects through 2030. You can review the draft Transportation Improvement Program online or request a copy, then submit written comments by October 30 before officials vote on it November 4 at the joint CBMPO committee meeting in Cartersville.
   

• Villa Rica wins region battle of Wildcats (times-georgian.com) — Woodland High of Cartersville fell 42-3 on the road to Villa Rica, despite grabbing an early lead with a long kickoff return and field goal. The Wildcats now sit at 2-3 overall and 0-2 in region play, get a bye next week, then travel to Dalton on October 16 looking to regroup.
