(Atlanta, Georgia) April 1, 2013 – Biscuits and Burgers, LLC, a Hardee’s®franchise of Rosenfield Restaurants, LLC, recently completed a shamrock campaign to help fight back against muscular dystrophy. Thirty-seven locations throughout Ga., Fla. and Ala. participated and raised more than $9,288 to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Funds raised went to assist with local research efforts and to support local programs, including a summer camp for kids with muscular dystrophy.
The one-month in-store campaign ran from February 17 through March 17. To participate, restaurant guests were asked to donate between $1 and $5 to support the MDA. For each donation, guests received a commemorative shamrock-shaped cutout to personalize and place on display in the restaurant.
"This campaign marked a new milestone in our partnership with Hardee’s Biscuits and Burgers as they had their best year yet raising $3,831 more than the previous year. We are truly fortunate for their efforts to provide much needed services and potentially life saving research to local families living with muscular dystrophy," said Angela Brown, Area Director of MDA North Georgia. "Hardee’s associates and their customers provide help and hope to children and adults with muscle disease, and everyone involved really responded to this year’s campaign, even in these tough economic conditions."
“As part of our ongoing effort to give back to the communities where we do business and to support causes that are important to our customers and employees, we were happy to support the MDA with our local shamrock campaign,” said Cory Zentner, marketing manager of Rosenfield Restaurants, LLC., parent company to Biscuits and Burgers, LLC. “The shamrocks that decorated our restaurant walls were a powerful reminder that everyone can make a difference."
MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education. For more information, please visit www.mda.org or www.facebook.com/MDAAtlanta.
