Armed Suspect Robs Dollar General In Cartersville
The armed robbery was reported early Sunday on Cassville Road, a report from the Bartow County Sheriff's Office indicates.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Bartow County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery of a store manager at Dollar General reported over the weekend in Cartersville.
A deputy was dispatched around 6:37 a.m. Sunday, June 10 to the store at 1316 Cassville Road. The deputy arrived and spoke with the store manager, who said she was leaving the store to visit the bank to deposit the cash from the previous day's sales when she was approached by an unknown man.
According to an incident report released by the sheriff's office, she was walking to her vehicle when the male wearing all black clothing and a black hat asked her what time the store opens to customers.

The manager told the man the store opens at 7:30 a.m. and at that moment, the man pointed a firearm at her and told her not to move.

"She gave the male the cash she had in hand, and he commanded her to keep walking to her vehicle," the report adds.
When she began walking towards her car, the suspect ran to the north side of the store towards U.S. 41 with an undisclosed amount of cash. When he left, the manager went back into the store, locked the doors and called 9-1-1. No other physical description of the suspect was provided, other than he was a black male.
