Army Corps of Engineers Accepting Hunting Permit Applications

Allatoona Lake issues 400 permits annually, providing hunters access to 2,777 acres of public land.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is now accepting applications for permits for the upcoming hunting season at Allatoona Lake.

The Corps will levy a $20 special activity fee for each permit issued. Permits can be obtained by mailing the hunter’s name, address, telephone number, pertinent state hunting license number, e-mail address, a self-addressed stamped envelope and a check or money order for $20 to the address listed below.

When purchasing multiple hunting permits, all of the above information must be included for each hunter.

All hunters are required to have a permit to hunt in USACE hunting areas and must display the pass in the permit holder’s vehicle while hunting. Applicants can address checks to: F&A Officer Mobile District, COE. Please do not send cash.
