Authority Approves Bonds For LakePoint Sporting Pavilion

The Development Authority of Bartow County on Wednesday approved a resolution allowing the issuance of bonds of up to $37 million to a private organization. The bonds would cover construction, equipment and furnishings in relation to the proposed indoor sports pavilion at the complex, The Daily Tribune News reports.
According to the Tribune, the 156,000-square-foot facility will sit on 6.7 acres and accommodate a slew of events. It will include a dozen basketball courts, which can be converted to two dozen volleyball courts, and gathering space totaling 26,000 square feet.

Once completed, the LakePoint Sporting Community is set to feature state-of-the-art venues for over 40 of America’s favorite youth sports and 5 million square feet of mixed-use development.
Along with sports, LakePoint will include approximately 29 on-site hotels, restaurants, retail shops, office space and several other entertainment venues.
