CARTERSVILLE, GA — A regional country music band will take the stage July 21 as part of the Cartersville Downtown Development Authority's Music By the Tracks summer concert series. Babes Bayou will perform in the upcoming installment of the 2018 series, which is presented by Harbin Clinic and Georgia Highlands College and is in its third year.
The summer concert, which is free to attend, begins at 7 p.m. in the downtown plaza and will be held rain or shine.
“We are so excited to have Babes Bayou as part of our summer concert series,” said Cartersville Downtown Development Authority’s Marketing and Promotions Coordinator Hannah Surrett. “Babes Bayou has been through Cartersville before and always draws a great crowd."

Featuring musicians Ryan Coker, Matt Chambers, and Matt Thornton, Babes Bayou is known for their awesome vocals and three part harmony. With 12 years of experience, Babes Bayou has shared the stage with national acts like Luke Bryan, Billy Currington, and Kip Moore. They have also been voted Georgia Country Artist of the Year twice since forming their group.
“I was so pleased by the number of folks who showed up for our last event, (and) I look forward to seeing another great crowd downtown on Saturday, July 21," Surrett said. "The pro-tip from some of our regular attendees is that the best way to enjoy this event is to make an evening of it while you’re downtown."
Attendees may bring their blankets or lawn chairs to the event, or just grab one of the seats in the amphitheater. A warm summer night is the perfect time to sit back, relax, and enjoy some drinks if you so wish.
Woodstock-based Reformation Brewery will be on site with The Local Bar and Grill selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Julian’s Kitchen food truck will also be on site selling the perfect summer cuisine.
