Here are the top stories in Cartersville today:

  1. The Cartersville Police have captured two Texas men and a teen accused of stealing baby formula from the Cartersville Publix, as well as other metro Atlanta area Publix stores. CPD received a "be on the lookout alert" for the vehicle and caught the suspects stealing 12 cans of formula from Cherokee Place Publix. Inside the vehicle, police found another 662 cans of formula. The men and teen were arrested and taken to Bartow County Jail. (Cartersville Patch)
  2. At a March 8 public meeting, Bartow County Commissioner Steve Taylor approved a contract to construct a new gymnasium at Hamilton Crossing Park. "Hopefully we'll get that under construction in about a year," said Bartow County Administrator Peter Olson. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune News)
  3. Georgia Highlands College will be adding four new sports to its list of competitive league sports. "Men's soccer, women's volleyball, cross country and cheerleading" will join its current sports offerings. Recently added to the sports roster include esports and basketball.
