Barnsley Resort To Host Shooting Demonstrations For Women

Cartersville and Bartow County women who want to pick up some additional shooting skills should consider checking out an upcoming event hosted by Barnsley Resort.

The Adairsville-based retreat will host SpringBank Sporting Club Director Skip Smith, a Level III NSCA shooting instructor, and Roy Baker of Caesar Guerini who will provide Syren shotgun demonstrations and shoot geared towards women.
The event, which is open to new and experienced shooters, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 24.

A breakdown of the day’s events is as follows:
- 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. – Continental breakfast and registration at the pavilion terrace.
- 9:30 a.m. to noon. – Syren shotgun demonstration and instruction with Smith and Anne Mauro from Syren USA at SpringBank Sporting Club Clays Course.
- noon to 1:30 p.m. – Lunch at Barnsley Resort’s pavilion terrace
- 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Clays shoot at SpringBank Sporting Club (additional fees apply)
Registration is $50 per participant, and pays for breakfast, lunch, demonstration and instruction. Target fees, ammunition and service charges are based upon additional usage as follows: Target fees: $40 for 100 targets; Ammunition: $9 per box. Targets and and ammunition are subject to a 20 percent service charge. Sporting clays carts are available to rent $20 per cart; each cart seats four people.
Barnsley Resort is located at 597 Barnsley Gardens Road in Adairsville. Advanced registration is required, and can be made by calling SpringBank Sporting Club at (770) 773-2457.
