Here are the top three stories in Cartersville today:

1. By the end of September, the Bartow elections office had received about 1,100 applications for absentee ballots. The number of applications received so far is lower than anticipated. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune News)
2. A Bartow County assessment predicted the Cass-White Road corridor would hit its development capacity around 2040. Growth within the industrial and logistics nexus has been much more explosive than projected and is predicted to be fully developed by 2026. (Subscription: The Daily Tribune News)
3. On Sept. 6, it was reported to police that a Cartersville woman's wedding rings had been stolen. Officials learned that the rings had been pawned at Full Throttle Pawn. They were then sold and investigators are trying to find whoever bought the rings, so that they can be returned. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
