Bartow County Fire Sergeant Retires After 30 Years Of Service

After more than 30 years of service to Bartow County, ​Sgt. Terry Thacker​ is saying goodbye to a profession he's loved dearly.

CARTERSVILLE, GA—A longtime firefighter with the Bartow County Fire Department is finally throwing in the towel.

After more than 30 years of service to Bartow County, Sgt. Terry Thacker is saying goodbye to a profession he's loved dearly.

As part of his contributions to the community, his fellow firefighters recently gifted him with a plaque for his many years of service.
