- Youth presented with award: When a Bartow County youth learned of a structure fire at his residence on Monday, November 21, he called 911 and assisted his family with escaping. He was presented with an award for his life saving actions. (Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services via Facebook)
- 'Quiet Hero' elementary school nurse saves a parent at school: Adairsville Elementary School Nurse Carla Hardy had received specialized training at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center in August. Recently, a parent on campus was bleeding profusely and Hardy sprang into action. She grabbed a 'Stop the Bleed Kit' and was able to stop the bleeding until paramedics arrived. "I am very proud of the Stop the Bleed training provided by Piedmont Hospital in August," said Nurse Hardy. (WSB Atlanta)
- Man to be arraigned for murder of a mother of three: Bartow County grand jurors have indicted a Cartersville resident on a count of malice murder and two counts of felony murder in connection with the 2016 death of Heather Dianne McDonald. The man is scheduled to be arraigned in Bartow Superior Court on Nov. 30. (The Daily Tribune News via Twitter)
