Bartow Residents Charged With Child Sexual Exploitation

The Bartow County Sheriff's Office received a tip that the man and woman were allegedly in possession of child pornography.

EUHARLEE, GA --- Two Bartow County residents have been arrested in connection to allegedly possessing child pornography.

Investigators with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office have charged 41-year-old Christopher Alan Love with 13 counts sexual exploitation of a child and one count possession of methamphetamine and Erin Molly Rafferty, 33, with 13 counts of party to a crime sexual exploitation of a child and one count of possession of meth, the agency said Wednesday.

The investigation started when a sheriff’s detective was sent a tip from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit regarding child pornography allegedly being downloaded by Love and Rafferty at a residence in Euharlee.

Within days of receiving the tip, Bartow sheriff’s investigators were contacted by a citizen alleging the same man and woman were in possession of child pornography.

Another tip came into the office on Monday, Dec. 21 that stated a juvenile in the neighborhood was possibly in danger or would soon be in danger of ”being sexually exploited by the couple,” the sheriff’s office said.

A search warrant was executed Dec. 22 for the home on Milam Bridge Road by Bartow sheriff’s detectives and agents with U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The sheriff’s office said both Love and Rafferty allegedly admitted to downloading and watching child pornography together.

Both suspects were transported to the Bartow County Jail without incident. The investigation remains active, and anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 770-382-5050 ext. 6067.
